Some of the tech projects I have done at home

Windows Home Server

This has got to be one of the coolest products Microsoft has ever put out.  I bought it a while back and installed on on a box I built for $260.  Cheep Mother Board ($29) and a Pentium D processor.  I then dropped 2 TB of disk into it.  More about the specifics of WHS later.

Windows Home Server Event Monitor

Runs as a WHS Add-in.  It allows the user for configure events that they are interested in using Regex.  An NT service then listens on the appropriate Event Logs, when there is a pattern match an Email is either queued to be sent or sent immediately.
